Psoriatic Arthritis Research Grant

Purpose: In a collaborative effort, the National Psoriasis Foundation and the Arthritis National Research Foundation are seeking grant applications that focus on advancing psoriatic arthritis research.

Research priorities: Priority consideration will be given to meritorious applications focused on research leading to the prevention, treatment or permanent remission of psoriatic arthritis. Proposals from applicants in early stage career development (equivalent to assistant professor) will be given special consideration.

Budget and project period: Applicants may request up to $100,000 (direct costs only) per year. The total project period for the application submitted in response to this RFP is two (2) years.

Research plan length: The research proposal cannot exceed eight (8) pages, including figures and tables, excluding references.

Important deadlines: Applications must be received by the National Psoriasis Foundation Director of Research by Monday, Oct. 26, 2009. They will be evaluated by an expert panel of peer reviewers and awards will be made no later than April 1, 2010.

NOTE: This year’s deadline has passed; the review process for 2010-2011 is in progress.
