30th Annual Long Beach Marathon Recap

Last Sunday, the Arthritis National Research Foundation’s Racing For A Cure team raced the 30th Annual Long Beach Marathon in its Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K events. Rheumatoid arthritis sufferers like Britt “The Hurt Blogger” Johnson, Aimee Espinoza, and Rachelle Crow all showed their arthritis awareness by participating in the 5K route that weaved through downtown Long Beach.

Other Racing For A Cure teammates like Carmen Tomooka ran her heart out in the Half Marathon, and returning marathon athlete, Oscar Esquivel, conquered the full marathon for yet sixth-year in a row. The event was well-attended and many other Arthritis National Research Foundation supporters came out to run for Racing For A Cure. Our runners and walkers raised both awareness and funds for arthritis research.
