Racing For A Cure is partaking in the 34thAnnual Escape From Alcatraz triathlon in San Francisco on June 1st, 2014.
Due to the exclusivity of the event, this is a first come, first serve event. Please express interest using the Racing For A Cure form.
A fundraising minimum of $1500 is required to cover entry fees and raise funds for arthritis research. If you have even the slightest interest we suggest you respond and respond promptly as the spots will go quickly.
About the event:
The event will begin with a Two-Day Fitness Festival and Expo at the Marina Green on May 31st. Everyone will be required to pick-up their race packets and attend a mandatory athlete meeting on the Saturday prior to the race day. Packet pick-up is from 11 am to 6 pm at the Festival Village.
This challenging triathlon draws hundreds of Olympians, amateur athletes and the world’s best champions out to take part in a grueling race that includes a 1.5-mile swim, 18-mile bike race and an 8-mile run. Thousands of spectators will be present to cheer on all participants who attempt this audacious feat.
