Andrew Lumpe Becomes Cure Arthritis Ambassador

Andrew Lumpe, arthritis patient advocate, past science teacher, and current university professor, is the latest ANRF supporter to join the roster of Cure Arthritis Ambassadors. In addition to his scholarly occupation, Andrew is also the author behind the popular arthritis blog, Living With Rheumatoid Arthritis; a collection of musings that he began when he wanted to share his story about being an RA patient.

Because of his scientific background, Andrew’s perspective on RA is unique and he offers his blog’s readers a thoughtful approach on the disease from both the patient angle, as well as that of a more critical scientific one. He was recently a co-presenter of a patient-oriented research paper at the American College of Rheumatology Annual Conference and also serves as a patient advocate and moderator at rheumatoidarthritis.net.

Through his influence, he plans to spread the message that research is the key to finding a cure for arthritis. Along with his fellow ambassadors, Andrew is thrilled to use his own voice to shed light on the struggles of RA and to aid in the fight to discover a cure for devastating autoimmune diseases.
