At ANRF, we believe that scientific collaboration is at the heart of medical innovation and we participate in the collaborative process throughout the year. In November 2019, this took us to Chicago where we were a sponsor of the Autumn Immunology Conference (AIC), a trainee-focused event where undergraduate students come together to learn from experts in the field, share ideas, and enhance their development as future medical professionals in immunology.

We believe that this annual event is an important milestone for developing minds in the field and wanted to do our part to ensure that young researchers could benefit from participation. Thus, we were proud to sponsor six travel awards to individuals showing great promise. The awardees were chosen after submitting extraordinary abstracts outlining their work, or planned work, on arthritis, lupus, or autoimmunity. Our awardees had the opportunity to present their work and collaborate with established researchers and physicians.
