For Elizabeth Wald, jewelry isn’t just an accessory or adornment for beautification purposes. For her, jewelry has become a lifestyle. After leaving a career as a personal trainer, Elizabeth successfully launched an independent jewelery line in response to a rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia diagnosis a few years back.  Today, her mission is to decorate others with her designs while also spreading arthritis awareness.

Jon and the Racing For A Cure team raised a total of $7,585 at the Escape From Alcatraz triathlon last month in San Francisco.  The proceeds benefited the Arthritis National Research Foundation in its effort to find new treatments and cures for arthritis and related autoimmune diseases.  Jon would like to extend a special thanks to everyone for their support and he submitted his entertaining and brave experience of one of the harshest triathlons for your enjoyment.

The Arthritis National Research Foundation will host its annual Meet the Scientists event, a night celebrating arthritis research and the pioneering individuals behind the microscopes. The event will be held at The Pacific Club in Newport Beach on April 10th, for board members and supporters to come together with cutting edge researchers in arthritis and autoimmune research.  “Meet the Scientists” brings the Arthritis National Research Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board of world-renowned doctors together once a year.
