6th Consecutive 4-Star Rating From Charity Navigator

top-ranked-on-charity-navigatorThe Arthritis National Research Foundation (ANRF) has earned the highest, four-star rating from online charity evaluator, Charity Navigator, for the sixth consecutive year.

Charity Navigator praised ANRF for its excellent fiscal management and its unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability. Based in Long Beach, CA, ANRF funds research to cure arthritis and 91% of all donations received are used for research programs. For over 40 years the foundation has been funded young doctors studying arthritis and the human immune system. The discoveries made by the over 225 investigators ANRF has supported have often been ground-breaking and led to many new treatments for those suffering with arthritis.

Receiving four out of four stars for six years in a row is an independent validation of its exemplary administration and commitment to their mission to cure arthritis through research. The rating also ranks ANRF in the top three percent of U.S. charities rated by Charity Navigator; in other words, ANRF performs more efficiently than 97% of all other charities reviewed by Charity Navigator. Charitable donors gain a sense of confidence when an organization is so highly rated.

All donations made to the Arthritis National Research Foundation are from generous private individuals and companies; ANRF does not receive any federal or governmental grants. Many donors chose to assist ANRF because every gift, large or small, makes a huge impact in the field of arthritis and autoimmune research.

The Arthritis National Research Foundation funds research projects on rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout, and many other forms of arthritis. Each year, ANRF awards a grant studying juvenile arthritis research. Most people do not know that over 300,000 children in America have a virulent form of juvenile arthritis.

The Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board is comprised of scientists and financial professionals who work together to ensure the best and brightest young MD and/or PhD scientists are funded. The organization has grown from only supporting a few scientists a year, to funding 15-20 projects totaling over $1 million last year.

Not to be confused with the Georgia-based, Arthritis Foundation, the Arthritis National Research Foundation will continue its focus only on research. Research and the potential for better treatments and cures is the hope of the over 50 million Americans who suffer the pain of arthritis every day.
