Arthritis is a serious chronic disease impacting more than 58.5 million people and more than 300,000 children nationwide. ANRF recognizes that, often times, people with arthritis can easily cycle through all currently available treatment options in a search for a cure or even simply increased physical comfort. As the pursuit for a cure for arthritis is at the core of who we are as an organization, we know the value of continued meaningful, science-based research. A large part of research centers on clinical trials and the need for participants.

“Clinical trials are essential for the development and clinical application of novel therapies. While basic science is vital for defining new therapeutic targets, such work would be of little benefit to those afflicted by arthritis and related diseases without clinical trials,” Craig Walsh, PhD, Chair, ANRF Scientific Advisory Board.
