Osteoarthritis Treatment May Eliminate Joint Replacements
10 May 2017
In this next installment of our new #CureArthritis web series we take a look out how grant recipient Dr. Denis Evseenko is on the cusp of creating the first medication to treat Osteoarthritis. Currently, people with osteoarthritis have very few options for managing the disease and because of this, many people end up with total joint replacements. Dr. Evseenko has devised a treatment that could dramatically change how we approach osteoarthritis. For the first time ever, people with Osteoarthritis have hope on the horizon to treat the underlying disease, and potentially reverse some of it’s affects. Posted at 16:52h, 31 JanuaryI’ve been diagnosed with moderate osteoarthritis and shoulder replacement surgery was recommended over a year ago. I don’t consider this to be an option. I am willing to put up with the pain hoping a treatment can be found that would avoid surgery.. If you start a clinical trail and need volunteers, count me in.
