Our Community’s Strength Drives Us Forward

Dear Friend,

The year 2020 has certainly been a challenge for the ages. Social and economic changes brought about during a global pandemic have meant uncertainty for many, and the need to adapt for all. At the Arthritis National Research Foundation, we are taking action to diversify our funding and address the new economic reality that all nonprofit organizations face.  We remain committed to our core mission to fund innovation scientific research and support promising young scientists.

The importance of medical research has been illuminated by current events. For ANRF, that reality is nothing new. It has formed the basis of our mission for many decades. Millions of Americans, including hundreds of thousands of children, suffer from arthritis every day. We know that fostering the innovation of brilliant scientific minds is the best way to ensure that new treatments will be developed to improve patient lives. Until a cure is found, we will remain steadfast in the work we do.

Our supporters have sent us a resounding message that they believe in this work as much as we do. While monetary contributions are slightly lower, we see renewed engagement.  Whether through direct donations, spreading the word to friends and colleagues, or sharing their stories with others in our community; our supporters have spoken and they want the research to go on.

We are extraordinarily grateful for your continued support. As we go forward, we want to know—what can we do for you? While our mission is centered on funding research, we also try to bring our community information about the latest in research and articles about living with arthritis.

The ANRF Chronicle, delivered to your inbox monthly, is designed to contain information most relevant to our community. But if we missed something important to you or if you want to see more of a certain kind of article, please let us know.

Thank you for being part of the ANRF community. Our best wishes to you and your family.

Schalon Newton, DBA

The Arthritis National Research Foundation's mission is to provide initial research funding to brilliant, investigative scientists with new ideas to cure arthritis and related autoimmune diseases. Writing articles about the patients affected and the science being done to find a cure shows why we need to come together to #CureArthritis!
