Dr. Albani has been all over the world conducting research, from Italy to Singapore, to gain a global approach on how to find a cure. As a pediatric rheumatologist and investigator of a myriad of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, he will be answering your questions!

    How often do you see illness or infection as a precursor to the onset of Juvenile Arthritis?

    My daughter had uncontrollable strep throat, followed by Rheumatic Fever, which resulted in Spondyloarthropathy. She was seven at the time and it was initially referred to as simply reactive arthritis, but unfortunately it is now a lifelong battle (and now combined with RA).
