Pre-Interview with Dr. Jawaheer

As a 2006-2007 grant recipient of the Arthritis National Research Foundation, Damini Jawaheer, PhD will be the next featured Arthritis Now guest. Women with rheumatoid arthritis suffer fewer symptoms during pregnancy; in fact, many consider their RA “in remission” during this time. As an Assistant Scientist at the Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute, Dr. Jawaheer is studying the biological changes that occur in a woman’s body during pregnancy that would cause her RA to go into remission.
