Explore the Link Between Psoriatic Arthritis and Obesity

Two Expert-Led Webinars | One for Healthcare Professionals, One for Patients

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a complex autoimmune condition that doesn’t just affect the joints—it impacts the entire body. One key factor influencing PsA progression, treatment effectiveness, and overall health outcomes is obesity. Research has shown that excess weight can increase disease severity, reduce medication effectiveness, and contribute to additional health challenges. But what does this mean for those living with PsA, and how can healthcare professionals and patients work together to manage these challenges effectively?

To explore these critical questions, the Arthritis National Research Foundation, with support from Eli Lilly, is hosting two expert-led webinars focused on the intersection of PsA and obesity. Featuring ANRF alumna Heather Faust, PhD (Brigham and Women’s Hospital) and rheumatologist Catherine Bakewell, MD, these sessions will provide valuable insights from both a research and clinical perspective. Additionally, a patient representative will share their lived experience, ensuring that real-world perspectives shape the discussion.

Both webinars will cover:
✔️ How obesity affects PsA progression and treatment
✔️ The latest research on inflammation, metabolism, and joint health
✔️ Strategies for managing weight and PsA together
✔️ Answers to your most pressing questions in a live Q&A session

While the content will be rooted in the same research, each webinar is designed to meet the specific needs of its audience:
