Rheumatoid Arthritis Pathways with Dr. Kalliolias [Part 2]

Rheumatoid Arthritis Pathways with Dr. Kalliolias [Part 2]

In Part 2 of his Arthritis Now interview, Dr. George Kalliolias, from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, talks about how the course of his research will change over the next five to ten years and touches on the goals he would like to achieve. Additionally, as ANRF’s first ever Morrie Granger Fellow, Dr. Kalliolias describes how honored he was to receive his recent ANRF grant and how dedicated he is to move his rheumatoid arthritis research along after having met Dr. Granger, for whom his grant was named.

In addition, Dr. Kalliolias gives insightful numbers as to the population of people suffering from arthritis, what patients can do to aid in the fight to find a cure, and what lifestyle choices (like smoking) are harmful that can perpetuate the damaging effects of arthritis.
