Robert Terkeltaub, M.D., is the Chief of Rheumatology and director of the Rheumatology Training program at the VA Medical Center, San Diego, CA. In addition, Dr. Terkeltaub is a Professor of Medicine in Residence at the University of California, San Diego.

 

Dr. Terkeltaub earned his M.D. degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1976. Upon moving to the U.S., Dr. Terkeltaub conducted research at The Scripps Research Institute and Department of Immunology – Division of Rheumatology for four years prior to accepting his present position. Dr. Terkeltaub’s laboratory conducts studies primarily on osteoarthritis.

 

An associate editor for the American College of Rheumatology’s journal, Arthritis and Rheumatism, Dr. Terkeltaub is also a gifted lecturer who has been invited to be a visiting professor at university medical schools and hospitals, and to present results of his research at national rheumatology symposiums.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
