Arthritis National Research Foundation President, Shaun Skeris, joined Blue Sky Cup co-founder, Hayden Fisher and Good Morning Vail Executive Producer and host, Tricia Swenson, to talk about the Blue Sky Cup, the foundation and rheumatoid arthritis.

It was a fantastic event in Vail, CO and President Shaun Skeris was ecstatic to be a part of the event and share the foundation’s mission of funding research to cure arthritis. Shaun Skeris talked about how ANRF fund’s young, innovative research scientists with cutting-edge ideas looking to jump-start their careers and their research.

Research that, as Hayden Fisher pointed out, allows his co-founder, Jim Nollsch, to continue to ski and captain a team despite his rheumatoid arthritis. The Blue Sky Cup was founded Hayden and Jim 5 years ago with 11 friends looking to test themselves and reach 40,000 vertical feet for Hayden’s 40th Birthday. Last year they decided to partner with ANRF to support rheumatoid arthritis research and this year’s event saw 100 competitors, all skiing to cure arthritis!

“It was an inspiring and fun day to be in Vail and ski for a greater purpose,” said Shaun Skeris, “We’re thrilled to be the Blue Sky Cup’s official charity partner and look forward to growing the event each year.”
