Talking Juvenile Arthritis with Dr. Canna – Part 1
02 Jul 2014 July is Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month so we sat down with our latest juvenile arthritis researcher, Dr. Scott Canna, to hear about his work at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). Dr. Canna’s research interests include basic and translational research on the pathogenesis of Macrophage Activation Syndrome (MAS), hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and related cytokine storm disorders. In Part 1 of our interview Dr. Canna touches on his juvenile arthritis research in relation to MAS and how juvenile arthritis is different from adult rheumatoid arthritis.
