ANRF Celebrated International Women’s Day at Prestigious National Conference

Dr. Nahle, the Arthritis National Research Foundation’s incoming Executive Director, was invited to lecture on chronic illnesses and arthritis challenges alongside a panel of experts last Thursday, March 8.  The event was the 9th annual UC San Diego Women’s Conference, commemorating International Women’s Day. The lecture was part of a session dedicated to Wellness and Mindfulness that also featured Dr. Jacob Tietelbaum, Melissa Williams and Lauray MacElhern (See Women’s Day Breakout Speakers Here).

This was followed by an interactive Q&A session which provided an opportunity to communicate directly with the audience. The 9th annual UCSD Women’s Conference attracted experts and stakeholders from academia, industry and nonprofits committed to women’s health and empowerment. This year’s conference was themed #BeBoldForChange and was opened by Executive Vice Chancellor, Elizabeth Simmons, who gave an inspirational keynote address.

The event was a great opportunity to the ANRF team to mingle with the group and build partnerships and collaborations. ANRF thanks co-chair Yvette Durazo and the organizers for an empowering, successful conference.
