Arthritis and related autoimmune diseases affect over 21% of adults in the United States. This group of diseases are incredibly complex and require innovative research to better understand their underlying mechanisms. There is a pressing need for more talented investigators to join the fields of rheumatology and immunology to tackle these challenges.
ANRF has spent the last 50+ years dedicating grant funding to early career researchers looking to make impacts towards cures of these disease states. Grants funded include, but are not limited to, a focus on:
ANRF awardees have gone on to receive over $584M in government research funding
ANRF researchers hold an average of 1.2 patents each
98% of ANRF awardees stay in science, 91% dedicate their careers to research
Papers published as a result of ANRF funded research average in the top 90th percentile of all PubMed recognized papers (don’t like how this is worded)
Charitable estate planning is financially beneficial for families and individuals of various ages and income levels, and ensures a legacy of commitment to making a difference through funding research, while supporting ANRF’s mission.
